KINGSTON – DeKalb County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Kingston man after responding to a report of domestic battery and finding a stolen firearm at his home.

On Friday, Burke E. Marchello, 41, of the 31700 block of Hillcrest Road, was charged with domestic battery and aggravated domestic battery. He also was charged with possession of a firearm without a firearm owner identification card. Authorities said Marchello was found to have a warrant and be a convicted felon.

After deputies were sent to the Hillcrest Road address, they found Marchello had left. During an investigation, they found a stolen firearm in the home, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Marchello was later found by Kingston police at another house in the village. He was taken into custody and sent to the DeKalb County Jail.
