50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Johnson of Malta will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Malta Historical Building, 127 N. Third St., Malta. The event is to be hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Scott Johnson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith and family.

Colleen Brown and Bobby Johnson were married on Sept. 23, 1963, in Wyatt, Mo. He retired from GTE, and is currently employed by Resource Bank.

They have one son, Scott (Terri) Johnson of DeKalb; one daughter, Kim Smith of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

90th birthday

Ross E. Niebergall recently celebrated his 90th birthday.

He is married to Roberta and also is retired. He has four children, Barrie Jon Frisco of Colorado (deceased), Julie (Dan) Schulke of Oregon, Wis., Marna (Ricardo) Rodas of Lake Barrington Shores and Angela (Larry) Euhus of DeKalb; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
