Semitrailer tips over on I-88 ramp, no injuries

Published: Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

DeKALB – State police are investigating what made a semitrailer roll onto its side on the east-bound exit ramp from Interstate 88 to Annie Glidden Road.

At about 2:45 p.m., the semitrailer rolled on to its side and into the right ditch along the ramp, State Police Master Sgt. Chadd Brody said. Nobody was injured, and no hazardous materials were spilled.

While the lane was partially blocked, the ramp was not closed until 4:20 p.m. when a load of tires in the trailer needed to be transported into another container, he said. After that the truck was expected to be raised upright.

Brody said truck enforcement officers are expected to look at the vehicle today.
