Kaneland and Sycamore both moved up one spot in the latest Associated Press Class 5A poll.
Dominating victories by the Knights and Spartans in Week 2, coupled with a loss by Sacred Heart-Griffin, previously the No. 2 team, enabled Kaneland to move from No. 4 to No. 3 while Sycamore advanced from No. 5 to No. 4 in the poll.
Montini remained the unanimous No. 1 team, receiving all 14 first-place votes, while Joliet Catholic moved up to No. 2.
Sycamore plays DeKalb at Huskie Stadium this Friday while Kaneland travels to No. 10 Sterling.
