Motorcycle escort to welcome soldier home

GENOA – Army Sgt. Andrew McDaniel will join the Warriors Watch and Genoa American Legion Riders on a motorcycle today as they welcome him home. Riders will gather starting at 1 p.m. at Algus Packaging, 200 N. Peace Road in DeKalb, for a ride to the Genoa Veterans Home, 311 S. Washington St., for a 3 p.m. open house.

McDaniel is a 2008 Genoa-Kingston High School graduate who recently returned from his second deployment to Afghanistan. He is the son of Debbie (Rich) Behrends of Genoa and Vernon (Randi) McDaniel of Aurora.
