Kaneland, Sycamore remain at No. 4 and 5 in AP poll

Sycamore gains more points after winning at Lincoln-Way West in Week 1

Sycamore and Kaneland kept their positions at No. 4 and 5 respectively in the Associated Press Class 5A poll that was released on Tuesday. 

Sycamore defeated Lincoln-Way West, 34-21, on the road while Kaneland beat Chicago Brooks, 27-7, at home.

Although neither team moved up in the polls, Sycamore gained ground on Kaneland for the No. 4 spot. The Spartans were 36 points behind Kaneland in the preseason poll, but the deficit is just nine after the first week.
