The Northern Illinois University fall ACT test preparation program provides individualized attention in a small classroom setting and offers students a chance to best prepare themselves for the ACT test.
The program will start on Oct. 6 and be held on consecutive Sundays until Nov. 3 in Graham Hall Room 334 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. NIU parking is free on Sundays.
Enrollment is limited and registration is now open at www.niu.edu/clasep/testprep/act.
NIU’s program covers English, math, reading and science reasoning.
The NIU ACT instructors include Lance Vobornik, an experienced mathematics instructor at NIU with a master’s degree in applied mathematics, Rosalind Bowers, an experienced English teacher at the high school and college level with a master’s degree in English, and Melissa Craig, an experienced teacher at St. Thomas More School.
Fall ACT Test Preparation schedule:
Oct. 6 – Pre-test
Oct. 13 – English
Oct. 20 – Math
Oct. 27 – Reading and science reasoning
Nov. 3 – Post-test
Cost is $250 ($275 after Sept. 27), which includes instruction, book, CD-ROM and retired ACT tests. It does not include registration to take the actual ACT test.
