Sycamore Lions sell candy Sept. 6 and 7

Published: Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

The Sycamore Lions Club will hold Candy Days on Sept. 6 and 7. Local Lions will be stationed at street corners and businesses around Sycamore on those days to collect money that supports the Lions of Illinois Foundation.

Thousands of Americans go blind every year, and more develop serious, uncorrectable vision loss. Funds raised on Candy Days exclusively benefit people who are vision or hearing impaired and help to stop preventable blindness.

Through donations, Lions of Illinois help more than 18,000 men, women and children each year through Camp Lions, mobile testing units, research and more. Each club also provides glasses and hearing aids to needy residents in their own community.
