Reservations taken for October dinner theater

Published: Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 5:30 a.m. CST

“A Day in the Life of Murder” will treat audiences to a classic murder mystery, with a comedic twist. Performances for the murder mystery dinner theater are scheduled for Oct. 11 and 12 at the Fox Valley Community Center, 1406 Suydam Road in Sandwich.

In this classic whodunit, everyone is a suspect and no one is safe from the detective’s interrogation. However, this particular murder mystery is presented with a slight twist. As the audience is assembled for the dinner and performance, each will be asked for input into the evening’s production.

Audience members will play an important role in determining the course of the show by making suggestions throughout the production. The actors will create a murder mystery on the spot without scripts, without any planning and without any idea of what the audience may suggest or who the killer might be.

This is the first fully improvised murder mystery to appear in the area.

Tickets cost $25 and include a buffet dinner. Dinner includes baked chicken, Italian beef, lasagna, potato salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, California vegetables, coleslaw, lettuce salad and dressing, rolls and butter, and dessert. A cash bar is available at the performance, and coffee, lemonade and water are included.

To reserve tickets, visit wewantpr.com or call 888-395-0797. Show only tickets, which do not include dinner or dessert, are available for $12. Reservations for dinner must be made no later than Oct. 6.
