DeKalb Women’s Club make plans for upcoming year

The DeKalb Women’s Club will hold its first meeting for 2013-2014 on Oct. 4.

Officers for the coming year are: Co-presidents Paula Bryner and Judy Maxwell, vice president Rosalie Hewitt, secretaries Joan Richoz, Audrey Bowden and Linda Liston, corresponding secretary Donna Deegan, treasurer Margaret Phillips and director Ellen Engstrom.

The club is a women’s service organization that awards scholarships to graduating DeKalb High School seniors and offers support to local community organizations as well as Heifer International and SMILES.

The club meets at 1 p.m. the first Friday of the month from October through May in the fellowship hall of Trinity Lutheran Church in DeKalb. A variety of programs are planned for the year.
