DeKALB – A 39-year-old DeKalb man is accused of driving drunk this weekend after his license was suspended in connection to 2009 DUI arrest.
A resident found Sergio Noriega, of the 400 block of Fairlane Avenue, passed out about 6 a.m. Sunday in a yard in the 400 block of Best Avenue in DeKalb, court records show. Noriega got in his vehicle and drove a few houses down on Fairlane Avenue, where a police officer found him passed out with his head hanging out of the car's driver's side window, court records show.
Noriega told police he had drank "a lot" of beer the night before, records show. He was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence and aggravated driving with a suspended license.
The most serious charge is a felony typically punishable with probation or up to three years in prison. Noriega posted 10 percent of his $15,000 bond Monday.
