Published: Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb, 158 N. Fourth St. in DeKalb, will hold a thrift sale from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aug. 23 and 24 at the church.

The sale will include a large number of useful, quality items. There will be furniture, small appliances, dishes, toys, tools and books, in addition to other items. Of particular interest are collectibles, such as collectible cars, train sets, action figures and advertising signs.

“The church will use the money to fund many of its community development efforts,” said Dan Kenney, a member of the church’s board of trustees. “The Unitarian Universalist of DeKalb is committed to working on the issues of poverty, equality and justice in our community.”

For more information, or to donate items to the sale, contact Kenney at 815-793-0950.
