River Heights staff helpful, professional

To the Editor:

This letter is long overdue. My family has been celebrating the memory of my father with a golf invitational for the past 16 years. We are scheduled to do so again this August at River Heights Golf Course in DeKalb.

I would like to recognize the staff, particularly Roger Huber and Jane Holdridge. Each and every year, they have been most helpful and professional to ensure that we have a great experience.

Most of my family members who attend are from other communities. They have been very impressed with the friendly manner of the staff and excellent condition of both the golf course and clubhouse. This creates a positive impression of our community.

I also had the opportunity to work with Roger and Jane after my retirement from the DeKalb schools for parts of two seasons. I learned firsthand what hard-working and professional individuals they were.

We are fortunate to have the leadership they provide within the DeKalb Park District. I am aware that we now have some new park district commissioners. I wanted to make sure they are aware of the quality leadership already present in our DeKalb Park District.
