Kirkland Library rural resident fee waived

Published: Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 5:30 a.m. CST

The Kirkland Public Library is offering six-month trial cards to give families a chance to familiarize themselves with the library, use the computer, check out books, and participate in any programs and activities scheduled during this time.

The hope is that at the end of the free trial period, people will become so positive about the library that they will become a rural patron ($65 per fiscal year per family). Participants must reside within the library’s rural district and sign up by Sept. 30 to receive the free six-month trial card.
