Unitarian Universalist plans charity sale

DeKALB – The Unitarian Universalist Church of DeKalb will host a charity sales from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 23 and Aug. 24 at the church, 158 N. Fourth St., DeKalb.

The sale will include furniture, small appliances, dishes, toys, and hundreds of used books, according to a news release. It also will include collectible cars, trains, action figures and advertising signs.

“The church will use the money to fund many of its community development efforts,” church board member Dan Kenney said in a news release. “The Unitarian Universalist of DeKalb is committed to working on issues of poverty, equality and justice in our community.”
