Have you ever bought a bunch of fresh fruit and vegetables with good intentions of healthy eating, only to find them rotten in the fridge drawer by the end of the week?
I have. It happens. We get so busy during the week that sometimes the time it takes to prep seems an impossibility.
Here’s an effective trick. Do all the prep work for the week on a day when you’re home. For example, if you do your grocery shopping on the weekend, prep your fruits and veggies (wash, cut, store) so they are ready to go for the week. Then you can easily grab and add them to breakfast, lunch, dinner, or use as a quick snack on the run. You can also prep your meats. If you’re grilling over the weekend, throw on some extra chicken breast, pork chops, or turkey/chicken burgers. Keep them refrigerated and ready to grab for lunches or quick dinners during the week.
And do you know what? It really doesn’t take that much time. Maybe an hour tops to prep everything for the week.
Give it a try. I promise it will help you to be more successful in your healthy eating endeavors.
