Lehan Drugs gave great service

To the Editor:

I would like to comment on a recent issue that I needed help with home medical supplies.

My provider was not able to help me after hours. So I called both Walgreens – DeKalb and Sycamore. After being on hold at least 30 minutes from both stores, they told me they couldn’t help me.

I have never been in a situation like this before.

My next step was to call Lehan Drugs. Their answering service was very helpful. They took my information and within minutes the person on call called me. She told me it would be 20 minutes for her to drive to the store and see what supplies she had on hand. Within 30 minutes she told me she could help me and even delivered the supply to my door.

Another day I had this problem again, so I called the store before closing and they again rushed to my aid and delivered the supply as soon as they could.

I’m a senior citizen and they are always very helpful at the store, even bringing my purchases out to my car when I get to their store.

I want to thank all the Lehan employees for being so helpful. I hope this opens other people’s eyes that we have a great service in our community, as I wasn’t aware that they would help a person in such a cheerful way after hours.

I sure didn’t get help from the big box stores.
