Pop icon Rick Springfield is headed to DeKalb.

The Grammy winner, actor and best-selling author will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Egyptian Theatre.

Tickets go on sale online to the general public at 11 a.m. Aug. 1. Friends of the Egyptian Theatre can buy tickets at a pre-sale beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Tickets prices range from $49.50 to $74.50.

Rick Springfield has been performing for more than 30 years. He has sold more than 25 million albums and has 17 Top 40 hits. Springfield’s hit songs include “Jesse’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch.” His newer songs include “Our Ship’s Sinking” and “I Hate Myself.”
