51st anniversary

Charles and Ruth Lindhart of DeKalb will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 4:30 p.m. July 20 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in DeKalb.

Charles “Chuck” Lindhart and Ruth Garside were married July 20, 1962, at Christian Church in Bridgewater, Iowa. Charles retired in 1986 from DeKalb Ag Research, where he was vice president of seed operations, and is now an owner-broker at McCabe Realtors.

The couple has a son, Scott Lindhart of DeKalb, and a daughter, Barbara (Mark) Goings of Augusta, Wis. They also have three grandchildren.

50th anniversary

Terry and Karen Morris of Sycamore will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family vacation to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Karen Utter and Terry Morris were married on June 22, 1963, at Salem Lutheran Church in Sycamore.

Terry retired in September 1996 as a lieutenant with the Sycamore Fire Department. Karen retired in September 1998 as a secretary with the Sycamore Police Department.

They have four children, Leslie (Bill) Powers, Kristine, Terrilynn and Dawn (Bill) Smith; and four grandchildren, Andy Powers, Kate Powers, Brianna Allen and Zack Allen.
