13th annual Summerfest planned in Waterman

Orion Samuelson, agribusiness director of WGN Radio and RFD-TV, will be the announcer at the Parade of Power and featured guest at the 13th annual Waterman Lions Club Summerfest and Antique Tractor and Truck Show at Waterman Lions Park in Waterman on July 20. He also will hold a signing for his recent book, “You Can’t Dream Big Enough.”

The Waterman Lions Club hosts this show on the third Saturday of each July. It is a fun-filled, all-day, family-oriented affair that will start with a 7 a.m. french toast breakfast and end late in the evening with a fireworks show. Activities will include a championship garden tractor pull (donations accepted), entertainment by The Banjo Buddies Trio, singer Mallory Wilson, a kiddie tractor pull, old-time baseball, a cowboy quick draw, train rides by the Waterman and Western Railroad, hay rides, a petting zoo, many kids’ activities, Lions food concessions, craft and vendor booths, trophy presentations, Lions Draw Down Raffle, a beer garden with live music and more.
