SYCAMORE – Police found two men with items from burglarized vehicles after a Sycamore-area resident reported seeing them trying to break into a car, police said.

Kaleb D. Hamby, 18, of the first block of West Prairiefield Avenue in Cortland, and Skylar Brown, 19, of the 900 block of 11th Street in Rochelle, each were charged with three counts of burglary and a single count of attempted burglary, authorities said.

Sycamore police received a 911 call about 12:55 a.m. Saturday from the concerned resident, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. Sycamore police stopped Hamby and Brown, and after searching them discovered several items taken from vehicles that were parked on Brickville Road and Easy Street in Sycamore.

Brown remained in DeKalb County jail Monday unable to post 10 percent of his $30,000 bond, while Hamby had posted $500 bail. Brown is next due in court July 10. Hamby is next due in court July 18.
