Registration is open for the Youth Theatre Series, an eight-week musical theater education experience for youth, sponsored by PR Productions and the Somonauk Public Library.

The Youth Theatre Series is open to students, ages 8 to 18, and will end with a performance of “Willy Wonka: the Musical,” to be staged at the Sandwich Opera House.

Students will meet three times each week beginning July 30 at the Somonauk Library. Session will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays.

A full schedule can be found at www.wewantpr.com.

Cost of the program is $55, and includes weekly classes and on-stage participation in public performances.

Weekly instruction will be given by veterans of the stage and theater. Daily sessions will include focused training on acting, auditions, music and choreography. The series also will include instruction on costume design, set construction, character development and more.

Financial assistance options are available to those who qualify.

To register, visit www.wewantpr.com or find PR Productions on Facebook. Enrollment for the series is limited.
