Greek Fest moves to new location, same great food

Published: Friday, June 28, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

St. George Greek Orthodox Church will presents its annual Greek Fest from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at a new location – St. Mary Church at the corner of Pine and Fourth streets in DeKalb.

This popular community event features authentic Greek food, pastries, music and live Greek dance performances. New this year is the option to dine indoors, as well as the option to purchase Greek wine and beer, furnished by Imboden's Meat Market.

Local art vendors will set up at the event to provide a wider shopping opportunity. The community is invited to enjoy great food in a fun, family-friendly environment.

All foods are available for carry-out and plenty of seating is available on-site. There is no admission to attend the festival; food is cooked fresh throughout the day.

For questions, call event coordinator Bill Vassilogambros at 815-751-8979.
