CHICAGO – A federal judge has sentenced a northwest Illinois man to 25 years in prison for producing and possessing child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Springfield said John J. Frazer of Silvis was arrested last year and pleaded guilty earlier this year.

A Friday statement from the office said Judge Sara Darrow sentenced the 32-year-old Frazer Thursday. He’ll also be under life-time supervision following his release.

Prosecutors said Danish police alerted U.S. authorities on Aug. 21 that a computer traced to Frazer had posted child pornography to a Russian website. Six days later, as he sought to post new images, Frazer was arrested at his Silvis apartment.
