Extension offers Flavors of the Season

University of Illinois Extension nutrition and wellness educator Marilyn Csernus and horticulture educator Candice Miller will present “Flavors of the Season” from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. June 21 at the DeKalb County Extension office, 1350 W. Prairie Drive, Sycamore.

Attendees can learn how to grow, harvest and prepare some early seasonal vegetables such as asparagus, lettuce, onions, peas, rhubarb, spinach, radishes, strawberries and cherries. A cooking demonstration and recipe sampling will be included. A variety of seasonal recipes also will be provided.
