Sandwich woman accused of armed robbery

SYCAMORE – A 30-year-old Sandwich woman was charged Tuesday with robbing Casey’s General Store in Somonauk in December.

Kasi M. Gunderson, of the 300 block of West Center Street, was charged with armed robbery and aggravated robbery, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s deputies and Somonauk police searched Gunderson’s home and arrested her after finding items used during the robbery, the news release states.

A judge is expected to set Gunderson’s bail this morning. The more serious charge she faces, armed robbery, typically is punishable by between six and 30 years in prison.
