DeKALB – No one was injured Monday morning when a driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake and broke several windows at 7-Eleven, 802 S. Fourth St., DeKalb, police said.

"She was pulling into park, and instead of hitting the brakes she hit the gas. Honest mistake," DeKalb Sgt. Jon Costilow said. "She said she sees this happen all the time on the news, but never thought she'd be a victim of it. Everybody's OK, just damage."

DeKalb firefighters were on the scene Monday morning to help clear the glass.
