Opportunity House awarded accreditation

Opportunity House has been awarded a Three-Year Accreditation by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, for the following services: community employment, organizational employment, community housing, supported living and community integration.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.

This award represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality and are guided by internationally recognized service standards and best practices.

Opportunity House is a nonprofit community-sponsored rehabilitation center serving adults with disabilities in DeKalb County for the past 50 years.
