DeKalb girls soccer places six on All-NI Big 12 East team

Kelly Cardine was named the conference's MVP.

DeKalb girls soccer, which won the Northern Illinois Big 12 East title, had six girls named to the all-conference team.

Seniors Kelly Cardine, the conference MVP, and Carlie Hayes were honored along with juniors Maddie Frye, Morgan Beaty, Abby Hickey and Maddie Krmenec.

Kaneland placed five players on the all-conference team. Goalkeeper Jordan Ginther was the lone senior selected with Delaney Stryczek, Courtney Diddell, Madi Jurcenko and Sage Schlehofer.

Sycamore had three players honored as Katherine Kohler, Lauren Miller and Paige Kohler each made it.

DeKalb's Kayla Perkins, Kaneland's Biandra Powell and Sycamore's Alyssa Hepker and Jessica Johnson were named all-conference honorable mention.
