Willrett-Holder

Randall and Louise Willrett announce the engagement of their daughter, Adeline, to Peter Holter.

Peter is the son of Arlen and Betsy Holter of Edina, Minn. Peter and Adeline met in California working for Adventures Cross Country.

Peter works as a market analyst at Club Holdings LLC in Broomfield, Colo. Adeline works as a clinical coordinator for Sample Supports in Longmont, Colo.

The couple will be married Oct. 25, 2013, in Boulder, Colo., where they currently reside.

90th birthday

Kathleen M. Askelson of Sycamore will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hy-Vee dining area, 2700 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore. A private gathering also will be held.

Kathleen was born June 18, 1923. She was married to the late Earl Askelson.

Kathleen has four children, Debra Askelson of DeKalb, Michael Askelson of Sycamore, the late Thomas Askelson and Steven Askelson of Belvidere.

She also has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

60th anniversary

William C. and Jonora L. Anderson of Sycamore will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Jonora L. Crawford and William C. Anderson were married on June 6, 1953. The two are both retired.

They have four children, Walt (Pat) Anderson of DeKalb, Charles (Jeanette) Anderson of Cortland, Denise Weber of DeKalb and Sandra Anderson of Sycamore. They also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

60th anniversary

Robert and Carole Swanson of Malta are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

They were married June 14, 1953, at the Malta Congregational Church.

The couple has two children, Ronald (Jeanne) and Jill Anne. They also have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There will be a family celebration.
