Freightliner awarded to DeKalb driver

As part of its ongoing fleet revitalization initiative, USA Truck of Van Buren, Ark., has awarded a 2013 Freightliner tractor to Michael Rogers of DeKalb.

Rogers has been with USA Truck since February 2009. The new Freightliner Rogers is driving features the latest technology in mobile satellite communications and RFID tags that allow automatic authorization to fuel without leaving the truck.

“Our driver team members are the life blood of USA Truck, and they keep us rolling in one of the youngest fleets in our industry,” John Simone, president and CEO of USA Truck, said in a news release. “Our new equipment is awarded to our driver team members that meet the highest levels of safety, service and fuel efficiency as they provide outstanding service to our customers. Everyone benefits.”

USA Truck plans to assign 450 new tractors to its driver team members throughout the course of 2013.
