This day in DC Preps history...

We go back in the record books to see what local sports accomplishments happened on this day in past years.

We're going to try to start a new series into the Prep Buzz blog with "This Day in DC Preps History", a consistent look into the archives to see what happened in local sports on this date in prior years.

On April 29, 2011, Sycamore shortstop Meranda Brashears hit a walk-off, sacrifice fly to left field, driving in Becca Schroeder and giving the Spartans a 9-8 win over DeKalb at Northern Illinois in a game that saw several lead changes.

It was only the second loss of the season for the Barbs, who were 17-2 following the game.
