DeKALB – Two people were injured about noon Monday in a three-car crash in front of Fatty's Pub and Grille, 1312 W. Lincoln Highway.

Albert Kohler, 29, of DeKalb was charged with failure to yield from a private driveway, DeKalb police said. He pulled onto Lincoln Highway and immediately collided with a westbound car driven by Chris Panourgias, 46, of DeKalb.

Panourgias's vehicle then collided Northern Illinois University student Nicholas Thomsen's eastbound vehicle, said DeKalb Lt. Jim McDougall. Kohler's vehicle came to a rest next to the Baymont Inn and Suites, 1314 W. Lincoln Highway.

Kohler and Panourgias were taken to Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. A spokeswoman with the hospital said they were no longer being treated there Monday afternoon.

Thomsen said he was sore from the accident, but did not require medical attention.
