Letter: Write-in Johnson for Cortland supervisor

Published: Tuesday, March 26, 2013 5:30 a.m. CST

To the Editor:

I, Lydia Johnson, am running for supervisor of Cortland Township as a write-in candidate. I served as supervisor from 2001 to 2009. I have experience; am honest; I believe in serving the people of the township.

I will follow the rules and regulations, have open public meetings, have informational meeting minutes; make budget and treasurers reports available for public scrutiny, and I will take a stand against the landfill expansion.

I will re-open the office on Saturdays for those who work to express concerns. I will reinstate substitute driving for the Cortland Route Meals on Wheels. I will make available voter registration and notary public services. I will be available for all meetings; learning seminars; and educational forums to better serve the township.

I believe in following “Robert’s Rules of Order”; “Open Meetings Act”; and “HIPA” Laws. I have lived at 22223 Larson Road, Sycamore, Ill., (Cortland Township) for 56 years. I would appreciate your write-in vote at the Consolidated Election on April 9, 2013.

Also, Barbara Young has done a great job and deserves to be re-elected to the position of Supervisor of Sycamore Township.

Lydia Johnson
