IVVC names students of the month

Indian Valley Vocational Center of Sandwich, recently announced its February 2013 list of Students of the Month. 

This recognition program spotlights students from its 13 onsite programs, and cosmetology and fire science, selected by the program instructors for qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic. Each IVVC program can select a different student each month for special recognition and an award certificate. 

The February 2013 IVVC Students of the Month are:

Auto Body Repair – Devante Johnson, Yorkville High School; Automotive Technology – Jonathon Cramer, Yorkville High School; Building Trades – Michael Connolley, Leland High School; Computer Technology – Dustin Frieders, Leland High School; Cosmetology – Natalie Nunez, Yorkville High School; Culinary Arts – Sarah Ciesielczyk, Somonauk High School; Drafting & Design – Elijah Ford, Serena High School; Early Childhood Development – Melissa McManna, Newark High School; Graphic Communications – Jacquelyn Walker, Sandwich High School; Health Occupations, CNA – Mary Samion, Newark High School; Health Occupations, Exploring Medical Careers – Molly Thompson, Hinckley-Big Rock High School; Law Enforcement – Madison Moga, Yorkville High School; Sports Medicine/Management  – Brock Kreiter, Leland High School; and Welding & Fabrication – Angel Avila, Yorkville High School.

IVVC is owned and operated by 11 school districts: Earlville District 9, Hinckley-Big Rock District 429, Indian Creek District 425, Leland District 1, Newark District 18, Paw Paw District 271, Plano District 88, Sandwich District 430, Serena District 2, Somonauk District 432 and Yorkville District 115.
