Hinckley man dies after snowmobile crash

HINCKLEY – A Hinckley man was killed after striking a fence with his snowmobile early Sunday morning.

DeKalb County Coroner Dennis Miller pronounced William K. Danekas, 56, dead at 1:45 a.m. at the scene. Danekas was apparently driving his snowmobile west in a field by Duffy Road when the accident occurred.

The incident is under investigation, but no foul play is suspected, according to a news release from the coroner.
