Two teens injured in Hinckley crash

HINCKLEY – Two teenagers were injured in a three-vehicle crash near the corner of Route 30 and Pritchard Road in Hinckley on Tuesday morning.

Hinckley Police Chief Gregg Waitkus said a 14-year-old female was airlifted to Rockford Memorial Hospital while a 16-year-old female was transported to Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. Waitkus said he was unable to comment on the victims' medial conditions.

Waitkus said the two teenagers were traveling east on Route 30 past Pritchard Road when their car slid into the opposite lane. A box truck struck their car on the passenger side. Another car rear-ended the box truck after the collision.
