DeKalb County under winter storm warning

DeKalb County is under a winter storm warning that will run through midnight Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow totals could reach 4-8 inches, with locally higher amounts of 10 inches possible. Light snow will begin today and this evening, with some accumulations possible. The heaviest snow will come Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening, with snowfall rates of an inch per hour possible. It will impact both rush hours and make snow removal and travel "extremely dangerous" according to the NWS.

The forecast calls for wind gusts up to 30 mph late Tuesday, causing blowing and drifting snow in some areas.
