Two reported injured in weather-related crashes
A 44-year-old DeKalb woman remained hospitalized in fair condition Wednesday afternoon after her Honda Accord collided with a box truck on slippery roads Tuesday.
The box truck, driven by a 31-year-old Kingston man, was headed south on Webster Road near Route 38 about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when the truck began to spin, according to a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office news release. The woman, who was driving west on Route 38, couldn’t avoid the accident because of the slippery roads and struck the front of the box truck, police said.
The box truck’s driver was treated at and released from Kishwaukee Community Hospital, where the Honda’s driver remained Wednesday afternoon.
