St. Francis runs past Kaneland

AURORA – St. Francis finished the game with a 14-1 scoring run to defeat Kaneland, 43-32, at the Class 3A IMSA Regional on Wednesday night.

After the Knights took a 31-29 lead on a 3-pointer from senior Matt Limbrunner with 4:18 left in the contest, the Spartans ran away from Kaneland to earn the victory.

Kaneland led, 4-0, at the start of the game after two quick baskets from senior Dan Miller and later extended its lead to 7-2 on a free throw from Tyler Carlson, but St. Francis fought back and put together a 6-0 scoring run to grab an 8-7 lead after one quarter.
