Oak Crest to hold prayer service today

Women, men and children in more than 170 countries and regions will celebrate World Day of Prayer today. The women of France, this year’s writer-country, have chosen the theme “I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”

This year’s service at Oak Crest DeKalb Area Retirement Center will be held at 2 p.m. today in Bradt Chapel at Oak Crest. The service will be given by resident and community volunteers.

Plan to join in this worldwide ecumenical movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year.
