Salad bar smarts

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Many people think eating from the salad bar is an automatic healthy choice, but this is not always the case.

I subscribe to Diabetic Living, a Better Homes and Garden special interest publication. Even though I do not have diabetes, I like to keep up to date on topics and info that will be helpful to the people I work with who have diabetes. There is usually an abundance of great recipes and nutrition ideas that can apply to anyone.

The Spring 2013 issue of Diabetic Living has a great article on tasty and healthy salad bar ideas. Not only does it provide tips on making a healthy salad, but also includes some ideas for delicious ingredient combinations along with their nutritional information.

You don’t have to have diabetes to take advantage of these great ideas.
