Cuts possible for D-427
SYCAMORE – Decreased enrollment combined with unknown state and grant revenue may cause Sycamore School District 427 to cut up to seven positions within the district next school year.
Sycamore School District Superintendent Kathy Countryman said the district still is looking at this reduction plan, which the school board will review at tonight’s meeting.
“We have to take precautions so that we are not obligated with regard to being overstaffed,” Countryman said.
