St. Peter’s to hold memorial service

A Memorial Eucharist in memory of the Rev. Canon Bob Krogman will be offered at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church in Sycamore on at 7 p.m. Feb. 28.

After his retirement as Rector of Saint James the Less Church in Northfield in 1992, Krogman served as Interim Rector of Saint Peter’s, as well as at Saint Paul’s in DeKalb. He also served congregations in Dixon, Loves Park, Palatine and West Dundee. Krogman served on the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board, and was a beloved member of the Sycamore and DeKalb communities.

The Rev. David Hedges, Rector of Saint Peter’s Church, will celebrate the Holy Communion. The Rev. Maron Phipps, Rector of St. Hugh of Lincoln in Elgin, will preach the sermon. The Rev. Ron Valentine, Deacon at St. James the Less in Northfield, will assist. A reception will follow the service. Everyone is welcome to attend the service, and all baptized persons are invited to receive Holy Communion.
