Two DHS students named Merit finalists

DeKalb High School seniors Eliya N. Baker and Allison K. Duffin have been named as finalists in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship competition.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.

Baker and Duffin are among 8,300 of the brightest students in the United States.
