Mouse races in Genoa to raise cash for education

GENOA – The Genoa-Kingston Education Foundation will host its third annual Mouse Races at 7 p.m. March 9.

The races feature live mice available for sponsorship, which includes two tickets to the event and naming rights for the mouse, according to a news release. There will be six races with nine mice in each race. Winners of each race compete in a seventh race to determine the champion.

Event proceeds will go to the foundation’s mini-grant fund, which helps teachers purchase items that aren’t included in the district’s budget.
