Letter: Profound sadness for our community
To the Editor:
My heart is heavy since I read articles in the newspaper about the Corn Fest switching weekends and having the event Labor Day weekend.
You looked to the northwest and found out Rockford was not going to have their event. Did you look to the east? If you would have, you would have known that Maple Park has had Maple Park Fun Fest on Labor Day weekend since 1999.
