Letter: Please be careful around snow plows

To the Editor: This is going out to all who drive.

The first thing is, when we are in the middle of a snow storm, I cannot see the need to go to a clothing store shopping. I plow certain parking lots, and believe me it happens.

Please stay home and wait until the next day to go shopping, you can’t tell me that there is an emergency for clothes!

Moving on, I wanted to make people aware of the plow trucks and skidsters (bobcats) and any other piece of equipment that may be plowing snow. We cannot see you as easily as you may think.

When you pull into a parking lot and you see those people plowing snow, try to avoid them. They are not going to go plow out a spot just for you if you wait directly behind them. They are trying to get a job done, and when people pull in right behind the plows or especially skidsters, we cannot see you. The chances of your getting hit increase greatly if you do so.

So please watch out for the plow people, they’re trying to clear the lot, they really don’t want to damage anyone’s car, and they don’t want to get hit either. So please be careful around us.
