SYCAMORE – Sycamore School District 427 will promote its accountant and assistant treasurer when finance director Luke Glowiak retires in June.

District officials announced this week that Nicole Stuckert will be the new director of finance July 1.

“It’s such an important position, and we’re so confident with Nicole’s skills,” Superintendent Kathy Countryman said. “We look forward to continuing to work with her.”

Stuckert has been the district’s accountant and assistant treasurer since 2009. She said she has been working toward this position for some time and things seemed to fall into place with Glowiak’s retirement.

“I’ve had a great mentor working with Luke Glowiak,” Stuckert said. “I’ve been trying to soak up everything I can working with him.”

The district is still negotiating her contract, but Stuckert could earn anywhere between $70,000 and $80,000 a year in her new role. Her current salary as accountant and assistant treasurer is $55,500.

Stuckert graduated from Rochelle Township High School and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University in 2008.
