St. John’s in Creston plans Lenten events
St. John’s Lutheran Church, 126 E. South St. in Creston, will celebrate Shrove Tuesday with a Mardi Gras-style dinner from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The meal will include jambalaya, red beans and rice, pralines and other New Orleans specialties. Entertainment will be provided by the DeKalb High School Jazz Band.
